Position Overview :

As a Patient Care Technician under the supervision of a Nurse Leader, you will play a crucial role in supporting patient care. Your responsibilities will include :

  • Providing direct and indirect patient care activities to ensure a safe and efficient care environment.
  • Performing selected interventions and activities to assist in comprehensive patient care.
  • Collaborating with the care team to ensure a positive patient experience.

This role operates in a dynamic and high-activity environment, requiring flexibility in scheduling and the ability to manage multiple priorities. There are opportunities for career advancement through our clinical ladder based on experience, skills, and certifications.

Qualifications :

  • No prior experience is required; on-site training will be provided.
  • Completion of PCT-specific Hartford HealthCare orientation is necessary.
  • Certification as a BLS Provider from the American Heart Association is required within 60 days of hire or transfer.
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Relevant experience in an acute care hospital setting is a plus.
  • Certification as a CNA, CPCT / A, EMT, or CMA is preferred for advancement eligibility in the clinical ladder.
