Psychiatrist - Institutional Mental Health Services

Our client, a trusted institutional healthcare provider, is seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to lead mental health services in a correctional facility.

This role is ideal for a dedicated clinician with strong leadership skills, passionate about making a meaningful impact in underserved environments.

Key Responsibilities Provide direct psychiatric care including evaluations, DSM diagnoses, and medication management.

Supervise and collaborate with mental health staff to coordinate treatment plans and therapeutic programs.

Lead administrative and operational functions including compliance, documentation, and reporting.

Participate in crisis interventions, disciplinary cases, and civil commitment processes.

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to federal and state regulations (HIPAA, NCCHC, ACA).

Collaborate with legal, security, and administrative teams; support community and staff engagement initiatives.

Required Qualifications Advanced degree in psychiatry, psychology, or a related clinical discipline from an accredited institution.

Active state license (or license eligibility) to practice psychiatry in Kansas.

Minimum of 5 years clinical experience , including 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role .

Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills.

Valid U.S. driver’s license.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary :
