Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient role with at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in an acute care hospital setting within the outpatient physical therapy department
  • Schedule is 5x8 hour day shifts (8 : 00-16 : 30) or 4x10 hour shifts, with no weekend requirement unless desired
  • Patients are seen in an outpatient setting with floating required as needed within the hospital or to affiliates
  • No on-call is required for this position
  • Electronic charting is completed using Cerner
  • Royal blue scrubs are required
  • Allied clinicians that do not require a state license must arrive 3 business days prior to start for fingerprinting
  • Parking permits are required, provided at no cost during orientation
  • RTO exceeding 5 days requires facility approval; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays if assigned during this period
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Former perm or PRN employees must have a 12-month gap before applying as a traveler

  • Minimum of 1 year recent outpatient physical therapy experience required
  • Current Illinois state license required if applicable
  • Current BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross required (RQI cards not accepted)
  • Must provide two professional references from supervisors within the past 2 years
  • Must submit full 7-year work history with gaps explained
  • Background screening required prior to offer
