Mechanical / HVAC Project Manager

We're working with a top mechanical contractor in the St. Louis area that's known for doing things the right way building long-term relationships with GCs, treating their field crews with respect, and delivering high-quality mechanical systems on complex commercial and industrial projects. They're looking to add a Project Manager who can step in, take ownership, and run with it.

What You'll Be Responsible For :

  • Manage mechanical scopes (HVAC, piping, sheet metal) from kickoff through closeout
  • Oversee scheduling, procurement, change orders, submittals, and cost tracking
  • Coordinate with foremen, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to keep work moving
  • Walk jobsites and ensure field operations align with the project plan
  • Run 2-5 projects depending on size, often in the $500K$5M+ range
  • Represent the company professionally to clients and partners

What You Bring :

  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing mechanical construction or HVAC projects
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems (ductwork, piping, hydronics, controls, etc.)
  • Able to read construction drawings and specs, and coordinate across trades
  • Proficient in construction software like Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.
  • A proactive mindset someone who solves problems before they become issues

    • Important Note : This is a construction-based position. Experience in HVAC / mechanical contracting is required. Candidates with IT or general corporate project management backgrounds will not be considered.
