ABOUT THE ROLE :

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at VHG, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, ensuring their physical health needs are met in accordance with Missouri DSS licensing standards and best practices in behavioral healthcare. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support holistic treatment planning, administer medications, monitor health status, and promote patient safety and wellness in a trauma-informed environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Clinical Nursing Care :

Conduct nursing assessments upon admission and ongoing monitoring of patient health status.

Work closely with medical providers, clinical staff, and families to coordinate healthcare plans and communicate health concerns.

Provide health education to patients and families regarding medication management, nutrition, hygiene, and preventive care.

Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, including medication logs, treatment notes, and incident reports.

Respond promptly to medical emergencies and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
