Inventory Control Position

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team-oriented individuals to work in our fast-paced warehouse! Working as part-time inventory control, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout our distribution center to company-owned branches. You will manage our company inventory within the distribution center by verifying shelf product and quantity through inventory checks. This is an entry-level position based out of our distribution center located at 940 W Wilbeth Rd, Akron, OH 44314. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to :

• Operating computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product
• Inspecting quality and accuracy of products
• Counting and auditing product
• Using a scale for weighing product
• Locating missing inventory
• Inspecting and correcting shelf integrity
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work area
• Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings
