Cardio Coder Austin, TX (Onsite)

Benefits : Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k)

📍 Location : Austin, TX 78756

🕒 Schedule : Full-time, MonFri, 85 (40 hrs / wk, onsite)

💵 Pay : $2528 / hr (higher for 10+ yrs) | Temp-to-Hire

Requirements :

  • Certified Coder (CPC preferred; AHIMA or AAPC accepted)
  • Strong Cardiology / Cardiothoracic / Cardiovascular coding experience
  • Confident, self-starter, able to serve as primary in-house coder

Day-to-Day :

  • Code surgical procedures, DX, E / M, and modifiers from paper records (no abstracting)
  • Support prior auth team with coding needs
  • Review charts / queries for clarity, ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Stay updated on vascular / cardiology coding changes (share updates, webinars)
  • Code 3060 cases / day depending on complexity
