Job Details – OR RN Travel Assignment Location : Burlington, VT 05401 (Vermont nursing jobs) Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Healthcare Setting : Operating Room (OR) – Level 1 Trauma Center Start Date : November 3, 2025 End Date : May 3, 2026 Contract Duration : 26 weeks Hours per Week : 40 Shift : 10-hour rotating shifts (Days / Evenings), including weekends and on-call; flexibility required Holiday Coverage : Must work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day) Estimated Weekly Salary : $2610 - $2800 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or compact state) BLS certification required Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in a large Level 1 trauma center Prior travel nursing experience required EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (required) Proficient in both circulating and scrubbing roles Strong clinical skills in : General OR, orthopedics, urology, oncology, Da Vinci Robotics, general surgery, ENT, dental, plastics, neuro, CVT, and trauma Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation not accessible) Vehicle must have all-season or snow tires November–April Complete work history required for submission (including bed count, EMR, facility type, and explanations for employment gaps over 90 days) Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary OR environment Circulate and scrub for a wide range of surgical procedures, including trauma, orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, and robotic-assisted surgeries Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR Participate in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations as required by the hospital Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in scheduling and assignments to meet patient care needs Discover why Burlington is a top destination for travel nurses—offering outdoor adventure, cultural attractions, and a lively downtown.
