About The Position

License : Eligible for PA(ASCP) certification within 12 months after hire

Must-Have :

• Bachelor's degree in a biological or health sciences field
• Completion of a NAACLS-Accredited Pathologists Assistant educational program

Description :

Under the supervision and direction of the Chief of Anatomic Pathology, and / or Director of Operations, Anatomic Pathology, and / or Clinical Specialist Supervisor, the Clinical Specialist (Pathologist Assistant) provides support to the Anatomic Pathology Department.

Responsibilities include the description, photographing, and grossing of specimens and assistance with frozen sections.

The Pathologists Assistant may assist with administrative functions including preparation and administrative maintenance of protocols, procedures, reports, data, and instruments.

The Pathologists Assistant may perform administrative, budgetary, teaching, and other duties.

Candidates must be currently working as a Pathologist Assistant and have a solid work history in this role.
