Salary range :
The salary range for this position is $193,559.00 - $282,613.00. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Professorial Series (Adjunct, Clinical X, HS Clinical, In Residence, Ladder Rank) and Professor of Teaching Series - Health Science Compensation Plan . This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan , which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.

Position description
The University of California, Irvine, Department of Pediatrics is seeking a pediatric medical specialist in the area of neurodevelopment or behavioral disorders to join The Center for Autism & Neurodevelopmental Disorders (CAND), with expertise in caring for children with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and other developmental disorders.
CAND is looking for board certified or eligible developmental-behavioral pediatricians, pediatric neurologists or neurodevelopmental pediatricians who want to join our team, work in a multidisciplinary environment, and make a difference in the lives of children and families. We are seeking qualified individuals with a strong commitment to patient care, education, research, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing clinical services and quality management, scholarly work, teaching / training, community outreach and be encouraged to participate in clinical research.
Since its opening in 2001, CAND has been a leader in medical assessment, diagnosis, care coordination, family support and education for children with autism and other developmental disorders focusing on children birth through age 5 years. With a recent increase in funding, and a collaborative effort of UC Irvine, CHOC Children's and Chapman University, The Center has expanded to offer a multidisciplinary team of specialists for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment serving children, adolescents, and young adults from birth to age 22 years.
CAND is located in the city of Irvine, California, and part of the UCI Health-Irvine medical complex, which includes the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center & Ambulatory Care as well as the new Acute Care Hospital.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications
(required at time of application)
M.D. or M.D. / Ph.D. and / or equivalent degree appropriate to the position(s).
Board certification or eligible, in Pediatrics and BC / BE in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics.
Candidate must be eligible for California licensure or licensed to practice in the state of California
