A nonprofit educational organization is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to oversee all financial operations and guide the organization's long-term financial health. As part of the executive leadership team, this individual will provide strategic direction, financial oversight, and ensure strong stewardship of the organization's resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Oversee accounting, payroll, accounts payable / receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Prepare and present GAAP-compliant financial statements and reports to leadership and the board.
- Manage cash flow, investments, insurance programs, and banking relationships.
- Maintain robust internal controls, policies, and risk management procedures.
- Coordinate annual audits and ensure compliance with all reporting and regulatory standards.
- Partner with department heads on budgeting, resource allocation, and operational decisions.
- Oversee the business office and HR administrative functions, including benefits and compensation.
- Collaborate with development and fundraising teams to align financial processes with mission-driven initiatives.
Qualifications
