This role offers a balance of inpatient, outpatient, and procedural work with a supportive team environment. Position Highlights Location : Near Columbia, SC. Dates of Coverage : January 610, 2025 February 714, 2025 March 714, 2025 April 1118, 2025 May 29, May 59, and May 2330, 2025 Additional dates through October 2025. Shift Schedule : Standard shifts (including on-call) with a mix of day and night hours. Role Details Case Load : Approximately 10 cases per day. Team Support : Collaborate with five physicians, three advanced practice providers, and a dedicated OR team with CRNA support. Facility Types : Work across an acute care hospital, outpatient clinic, and a freestanding GI center. Procedures and Skills Required Procedures : Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy Esophageal dilatation / manometry and interpretation Small bowel biopsy Lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy with biopsy / excision of polyps Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) Preferred Advanced Procedures : ERCP Liver biopsy Foreign body removal and banding of varices Qualifications Licensing : Must hold or be willing to obtain a South Carolina medical license (licensing support available). Certifications : ACLS, BLS, and DEA required. Experience : Two years of post-training experience preferred. Charting System : Experience with Epic is a plus.
