Job Description

The position involves implementing instruction in the assigned subject area(s) to foster each student's maximum potential. The candidate must meet the following minimum qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate or out-of-state equivalent.
• Requirements for content exam and Science of Teaching Reading exam met, if applicable.
• Certification must comply with federal and state laws to remain qualified.

Additional responsibilities include developing lesson plans, assessing student learning styles, managing classroom behavior, communicating with parents and staff, participating in professional development, and performing other duties as assigned.

The role reports to the Building Principal, is classified as professional, and is an exempt position with 188 workdays annually. Salary details are available in the district's compensation plan. The position requires in-person interaction and involves physical demands such as standing, bending, and moving equipment.
