Genie Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Bakersfield, California.

Job Description & Requirements

• Specialty : PACU - Post Anesthesia Care
• Discipline : RN
• Start Date : 10 / 27 / 2025
• Duration : 13 weeks
• 40 hours per week
• Shift : 10 hours, days
• Employment Type : Travel
• Common cases : Adult & Pediatrics (general), Ortho, Neuro, Vascular, Burn, GYN, ICU recoveries.
• Experience / Must-haves : 2 years PACU + ICU experience required. No first-time travelers.
• EMR : Cerner
• Charge / House Supervisor : Charge assignments rare .
• Support : Nurse aides on unit during normal business hours.
• Respiratory : RT manages vents (vents on unit; RT handles device management).
• ICU overflow : When ICU is full, PACU may recover ICU-level patients until a bed / staff is available. RN must be comfortable with pressors, sedation, and vented patients (with RT support).
• Dress code : Dark blue scrubs (or hospital-provided scrubs ).
