Overview

MUSC Health Partners (MHP) is hiring a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant for the Summerville Newborn Center. This is a full-time, regular employee role with 40 scheduled hours per week.

Job Description

Examines and treats patients independently and in collaboration with other health care professionals. Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. May prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests. Advises patients about continuing care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing and two years of clinical experience, at least one year in a specialty area of care.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner specific to the area of employment required unless a new graduate; new graduates must be certification eligible upon employment and obtain certification within six months of employment.
• Licensure as a Registered Nurse and official recognition as a Nurse Practitioner from the South Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
