BLS

Minimum Experience : 1 year (First-time travelers not accepted)

General Unit and Patient Information

Common Diagnoses :

GI Bleed

DKA

Stroke / TIA

Hypertension

NSTEMI

COPD

CHF

Other intermediate / stepdown -level conditions

Work Setting Systems :

Epic (Charting)

Pyxis (Medication Management)

SBAR (Communication Framework)

Scrub Color : Navy Blue

Schedule & Shift Information

RTO : Maximum 7 days

Weekends : Every other weekend (unless otherwise specified)

Floating : Yes, throughout the facility or to sister campus (Piedmont Eastside South)

Holidays :

Must work one major holiday if one falls during assignment

Must work two if two holidays fall during assignment

Must work two if three holidays fall during assignment

Major Holidays Include :

New Year’s Eve & Day : December 31 & January 1

Spring Break : April 6–April 12 ( No RTO allowed )

Memorial Day : May 26

Independence Day : July 4

Labor Day : September 1

Thanksgiving / Black Friday : November 27 & 28

Christmas Eve & Day : December 24 & 25
