At DDS Tech Pro, we specialize in IT solutions for dental practices and small businesses. We're a fast-paced Managed Service Provider (MSP) that values teamwork, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
The Role
We're looking for an IT Field Support Technician to join our team. In this hybrid role, you'll spend about 60% of your time in the field handling installations, cabling, and hardware support, and the rest supporting our clients remotely as part of our help desk team. This position is a great fit if you enjoy hands-on work, solving problems on the fly, and being the face of the company at client locations.
Responsibilities
- Travel to client offices and job sites to provide on-site IT support
- Install, diagnose, and repair desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and other hardware
- Run, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (CAT6 and fiber)
- Scope and document job sites with photographs and notes for project planning
- Track and manage supplies in your company vehicle and document usage
- Work alongside senior field staff on more complex issues
- Provide Level 1 help desk support when not in the field (ticketing, remote troubleshooting, client communication)
- Assist with new user onboarding and workstation setups
- Document work in tickets and escalate issues when needed
What We're Looking For
1–3 years of MSP field technician experienceStrong troubleshooting skills for hardware and peripheral issues (printers, sensors, scanners, etc.)Customer service mindset and ability to communicate clearly with clientsAbility to type 25+ WPM and create clear, accurate ticket notesValid driver's license and reliable transportationWillingness to work long days or extended shifts when client needs require itComfortable working from ladders and occasionally in unconditioned spaces (attics, warehouses, retrofit sites)Nice to Have
CompTIA A+ or Network+BICSI certification or structured cabling experienceFiber optic cabling experience (running and terminating)Microsoft 365 experience (user / admin support)Experience with PSA / ticketing systemsPrior field service role in an MSP environmentWhy Join Us
