Job Title : Senior System Support Technician
Position Notes :
- Required Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree, or 4 years of job related work experience, or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate's degree in a related field.
- Required Work Experience : 1 year of technical experience with systems analysis, design, programming, or other IT-related experience, or successful completion of BCBS Entry Level Training Program.

- Hours : 8 : 30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with possible overtime to meet project deadlines
- Required Technologies : Agile experience, cloud-hosted application experience, Linux / Unix OS, Web / Application Servers (Apache, Tomcat), Medicare experience, Jira / Confluence, Jenkins, Git

Duties :
Support and analyze production system problems, recommending solutions.Perform system support, configurations, scheduling, and tuning of applications, and recommend technological solutions.Provide basic technical support for system performance concerns and report issues from production processing.Assist in system performance monitoring and capacity planning.Participate in work sessions, walkthroughs, and disaster recovery exercises.Complete administrative tasks such as maintaining logs and quality documents.Required Skills and Abilities :
Understanding of data storage, database management, and basic programming techniques.Knowledge of maintaining production systems and understanding of program change impacts.Familiarity with development, QA, and integration methodologies.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.Attention to detail.Work Environment :
