Overview
This position is fully on-site. We have an immediate opening for a talented and motivated individual to serve as a customer IT Specialist. You will receive extensive and ongoing training in the field of electronic security systems. This is an ideal position for someone looking to start their career or advance with a stable, well-respected and established company.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot hardware and IP communication issues for clients' systems, including DVR / NVR, Access Control Systems and Electronic Security Systems.
- Handle inbound calls to the department and assist clients as needed.
- Coordinate with client IT personnel to troubleshoot issues including IP Filtering, VPN Tunneling and Port Forwarding.
- Bench testing and repair of devices and equipment.
- Ensure accurate data entry of all activity.
Requirements
Technical Qualifications
2-year college degree or equivalent experience required; 4-year degree in a related field preferred.Industry standard certifications a plus : CompTIA Network+, A+, and / or Security+; Cisco.Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.Thorough understanding of and hands-on experience with PC hardware and IP network communications.Knowledge of security systems, digital video recording and closed-circuit television systems is a plus but not required.Customer Service Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver clear and concise training and direction to clients.Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to learn and be trained.Flexible and adaptable to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.Must be presentable and professionally dressed.Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and climb a ladder.
