We're looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team in Coeur d'Alene!

PMR Healthcare is seeking motivated, experienced Medical Assistants (MA) to join our team. Currently, both full-time and part time positions are available.The clinic provides primary care, occupational, and emergency medicine to PMR's client's employees and their families.You will work under the guidance of a practice manager and physician.

Job Responsibilities

• Scheduling & Communication : Professionally answer the phone and emails following PMR policy to schedule patients, follow-up on specialist appointments, or refer inquiries.
• Patient Preparation : Welcome patients, check them in / out of appointments, and complete patient intake
• Support Patient Care : Help the providers during examinations; preparing laboratory specimens; performing basic laboratory tests on the premises; prepare fit test, disposing of contaminated supplies; administering and dispensing medications on the premises; authorizing drug refills as directed; telephoning prescriptions to pharmacies; drawing blood; taking electrocardiograms; performing Spirometry, EKG, Visual Acuity, removing sutures; changing dressings.
• Clinic Preparation : Maintain a safe, clean work environment; refreshing and preparing exam rooms between visits and following procedures for inventory control.
• Documentation : Complete documentation specified by PMR with the EMR.
• Update Professional Knowledge : Maintain all required certification(s).
