Dandelion Chocolate is a bean-to-bar chocolate factory in San Francisco's Mission District. We make chocolate from only two ingredientscocoa beans and cane sugarand travel to origins as often as possible to build good, trusting relationships with the producers who grow and ferment the beans we buy. We are looking for Seasonal Cafe and Retail Associates who are eager to engage with our guests, sample out chocolate, and keep our stores looking their best.

With the variety of guests, you'll spend a lot of time discussing our mission, story, and chocolate. Throughout the day, you'll be restocking our shelves, ringing up guests on the register, and preparing and boxing up orders. In the morning, you may guide guests through the shop and sample out chocolate. In the afternoon, you might be on the register, ringing up guests and ensuring they've taken care of everything on their holiday lists by helping them with recommendations. After a deep dive training into our chocolate-making processes and our products, you'll be ready to jump in and get your hands dirty. We are hiring seasonally at all of our locations : 16th Street, Valencia, Ferry Building, Fillmore Street, Union Street, Chestnut Street Powell Street, and inside the Fairmont Hotel. Some locations have cafes and some do not.

Our ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, and enjoys interacting with the diverse guests that stop by our stores. You take pride in perfectly stocked shelves and engaging with guests. You love to share knowledge and make people excited to come back with friends and share their newfound knowledge of chocolate. As a reliable team member, your team knows they can depend upon you to uphold our standards and work collaboratively throughout your shift. Previous specialty coffee, craft food, or retail experience is a plus.

Responsibilities :

• Be timely, dress professionally, and be ready to work through your shift
• Complete necessary Dandelion Chocolate training.
• Develop a quick rapport with guests by detailing our chocolate-making process, answering questions, recommending products, and sampling chocolate.
• Help maintain store appearance following our stores' visual presentation standards through replenishment and recovery and general housekeeping procedures.
• Ensure that each guest receives the best possible experience.
