Travel Nurse Job Details Location : Asheville, NC 28801 (North Carolina nursing jobs) Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 - End : 2 / 16 / 2026) Shift : 6 : 45 AM - 7 : 15 PM (12-hour day shifts) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Pay : $1680-$1800 Employment Type : Travel RN, On-Site Unit : Labor & Delivery (L&D) Unit Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Dress Code : All white or all navy blue, or white top with navy blue pants Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or compact state Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Labor & Delivery nursing Proven experience in caring for patients throughout the labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum process BLS and ACLS certifications (required for all travel nurse jobs) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred Ability to float to related units such as Mother / Baby or Postpartum as needed Strong teamwork, flexibility, and a positive attitude Preferred : Experience with high-risk deliveries and fetal monitoring Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality, compassionate care to laboring mothers and their newborns in a fast-paced L&D environment Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including interpreting fetal heart rate tracings Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures Administer medications and IV fluids as ordered by healthcare providers Operate clinical equipment such as fetal monitors, infusion pumps, and infant warmers Document patient care and progress using Cerner EMR Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including obstetricians, midwives, and support staff Float to other hospital units as required to support patient care needs Take the next step in your nursing career with this exceptional travel L&D RN job in Asheville, NC.
