MUST HAVE IN HAND VA LICENSE AND DEA (NO EXCEPTIONS, WILL REJECT IF NOT); MUST BE WILLING TO WORK DAYS / NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS. INCLUDE THESE DETAILS IN CHECKLIST OR WILL REJECT. CLEAN FILES ONLY

14K annual ED volume

70 hospital beds

24 hour physician coverage

12 hour shifts

ABEM / ABEOM, IM or FP with ER experience

BE / BC-must be certified within 7 years of completing residency

History of taking ATLS required. If not EM Boarded, requires ACLS

Moonlighting residents-no

LewisGale Hospital Alleghany serves patients in both Virginia and West Virginia. The hospital offers a full range of medical specialties - from emergency medicine to general surgery. It is also home to the Senior Transitions program - a 15-bed specialty unit for seniors with emotional and behavioral issues requiring short-term acute stabilization.LewisGale Hospital Alleghany is part of LewisGale Regional Health System - an integrated network of closely aligned patient-care facilities that consistently rank among the top in the nation for patient care.
