Staff Accountant

Responsible for assisting the Accounting department with the month-end close process including preparation of monthly journal entries and reconciliations. Assists with various special projects as needed.

Execute month-end close activities across various accounting functions.

Support projects, process optimizations, and system enhancements.

Perform account reconciliations and variance analyses to ensure financial accuracy.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align accounting processes and improve accuracy.

Identify and recommend improvements to policies, procedures, and controls with corresponding solutions.

Adapt to evolving priorities while contributing positive energy to a collaborative team environment.

Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.

1+ years of public accounting experience and / or 1+ years in industry.

Strong accounting foundation.

Ability to excel in a collaborative team environment and adapt to an evolving workplace.

Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and corporate accounting practices.

Knowledge and understanding of finance / accounting systems and designing processes and procedures.

Accounting workpaper design and documentation.

Analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Communication and time management skills.

Advanced Excel skills.

Ability to act with integrity and professionalism.

Ability to perform accounting related tasks at a high level.

Ability to communicate information in a clear and concise manner.

Ability to engage and foster strong partnerships with the leaders and team members across HOPCo.

Normal office environment.

Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.

Manual dexterity using a calculator and computer keyboard.
