Job Description
The Pricing Manager is responsible for pricing, contracts, and market analysis for the API product lines within the Specialty Generics Business Unit. This role will work closely with the Sr. Director of Product Management and Analytics to drive profitable growth by improving price and margin realization across the portfolio using data driven commercial decision making. This role will work with Product Management to translate the pricing strategy into segment specific pricing tactics and execution. The role will be responsible for managing the contracting process. The role will collaborate with stakeholders in Sales, Product Management, Customer Service, Contract Administration, Legal, Compliance and Finance to execute the pricing and contracting process to manage and grow the API businesses.
Essential Functions
Minimum Requirements
BA / BS required MBA is a plus
Minimum of 4 years of relevant pricing, commercial or industry experience.
Understanding of US pharmaceutical value chain and industry dynamics is a plus.
Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and executing pricing and contracting strategies.
Experience in the API, fine chemicals, or generics industry (or similar) in a commercial role or one closely aligned with commercial functions is preferred.
Experience in competitive intelligence, marketing, sales, strategic planning, and / or management consulting preferred.

Working knowledge of Master Data Management / Data Warehousing methodologies is a plus.
Ability to manage tight timelines and competing priorities is a must; project management skills are desirable.
Demonstrated ability to integrate and leverage insights and analytics, synthesize and communicate insights for multiple audiences, and coordinate and utilize qualitative and quantitative market research methodologies.
Skills / Competencies
Demonstrated, strong business acumen
Data-curious, analytical mentality; able to find patterns in large datasets and identify trends and key insights.
Excellent communication skills and ability to succinctly express point view using both written and verbal communications.
Proficiency with the Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) is required, high proficiency in Excel required.
Organizational Relationship / Scope
This role reports to the Sr. Dir., Product Management and Analytics. The role will work closely with Sales, Planning, Pricing, and Finance.
