Accounting Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in St. Helen's, Oregon. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where processes are evolving and adaptability is key. The role involves managing various accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation activities, while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities :

  • Process and print invoices, ensuring proper approvals and timely entry into the accounting system.
  • Handle banking tasks using CashPro, including invoice entries and payment approvals.
  • Post payment journal entries and reconcile accounts to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Manage collections and posting payments for a small customer base with electronic invoicing.
  • Perform billing functions, including weekly and monthly invoices for specific customers.
  • Conduct check runs and ensure payments are processed accurately.
  • Utilize Dynamics NAV and Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks and reporting.
  • Maintain organized documentation and assist in refining processes as required.
  • Collaborate with team members to address accounting-related inquiries and challenges.

Requirements :

  • Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Strong experience with billing functions and account reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with Dynamics NAV software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to prepare and post journal entries with precision.
  • Knowledge of electronic payment processing and check runs.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in financial tasks.
  • Prior experience in a similar accounting role or related field.
