Overview

Primrose School of Peachtree Corners is hiring an Infant Teacher to care for children aged six weeks to one year. You will help foster curiosity, creativity and compassion, supporting social, emotional, cognitive, creative and physical development through singing, dancing and storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Spend your days building genuine relationships with each child thanks to low classroom ratios.
  • Prepare materials that help children explore their environment through learning activities and active play.
  • Collaborate with your co-teacher to implement the Balanced Learning curriculum.
  • Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to support each child\'s individual needs.

Qualifications

  • Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency
  • Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs; for Infant and Young Toddler teachers, ability to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
  • CDA or 2-year degree or degree in early childhood or related field required
