SUMMARY :
The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all essential functions. As an assistant coach, the incumbent will act as a mentor to players on the team providing guidance and advice in the areas of academics, athletics, and personal development. The incumbent will need to be provide a safe, dynamic environment in which the student athletes can learn.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assists in the supervision of team managers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
LANGUAGE SKILLS :
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY :
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
