Cyber & Information Security Analyst – Senior / Staff

STP Nuclear Operating Company (STP) is one of the largest nuclear power plants nationwide and a leader in safety, reliability and efficiency. STP's twin pressurized water reactors produce 2,700 megawatts of electricity serving more than one million homes in south-central Texas.

Summary

Responsible for technical advisement on Cyber Security requirements for protection of all information processed, stored or transmitted by STP computer systems. Directs development and delivery of a comprehensive cyber security program and compliance functions regulated by NRC, ERCOT and Sarbanes-Oxley. Oversees creation of standards, policies, procedures and guidelines providing guidance and control of cyber security.

Essential Responsibilities

Provide technical assistance and operational guidance to ensure new business functions have proper security controls and objectives identified, implemented, verified and tested.
Develop and maintain standards, policies, procedures and guidelines; lead cyber security functions to meet all applicable requirements.
Monitor and evaluate vulnerability information from various sources and articulate mitigation guidance.
Design, deploy and manage enterprise cyber security monitoring, detection and incident response systems.
Implement Disaster Recovery strategies for critical digital assets and conduct cyber security investigations.
Administer security risk assessments, threat modeling and develop communications to senior management regarding strategic cyber security risks and threats.

Education

Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems (preferred).

Without the above degree, five years of experience in information technology, hardware / software maintenance, configurations and cyber security risk management.

Experience

Senior – Five years of experience in cyber security administration and risk management (required).

Staff – Eight years of experience in cyber security administration and risk management (required).

Licenses / Certifications

CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, CCNA Security, PCNSE, NSE or equivalent (preferred).

CompTIA SOC Analyst, EC-CSA, GIAC GCDA or equivalent (preferred).

Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert, Cisco Certified Network Professional, Certified Ethical Hacker (preferred).
