Hardware Configuration Analysis Manager 2
Northrop Grumman's Space Sector Configuration Management team is seeking a functional manager to serve as our Hardware Configuration Analysis Manager 2 in Chandler, AZ.
Due to the sensitive nature of our work this is a fully on-site position; hybrid or remote work is not available. Relocation is not offered for this role.
In this role you will :
- Serve as a functional manager for the Hardware Configuration Management (CM) team of controllers and analysts.
- Display ability to understand Quality Management System principles with specific emphasis on Configuration Management in relation to EIA-649 Configuration Management Standard
- Train employees to uphold the principles and ensure compliance with tailored program plans.
- Support the development and up-to-date maintenance of Data Management process requirements and training materials.
- Apply the organization's quality management system policies, processes and procedures in accordance with EIA-649 while directing program configuration management activities to successfully deliver the required products or services.
- Establish a configuration management plan that integrates CM activities and resources to meet contractual requirements and stakeholder expectations which is reflected in the overall program plan while ensuring that plan adheres to the principles in EIA-649.
Abilities we are looking for :
Knowledge of CM Functions and the five Principles (EIA-649) CM Planning & Management, Configuration Identification, Configuration Change Management, Configuration Status Accounting, Configuration Verification and AuditEnsure that third party certifications (e.g. ISO - International Organization for Standardization and CMMI), that support business needs are obtained and maintained.Identifies, allocates, collects, analyzes and dynamically monitors quality performance metrics against the performance baseline throughout program life-cycle to drive continuous process improvements.The ability to effectively plan, define, establish, communicate, monitor, and control scope and program staffing to ensure that all of the work required and only the work required is performed.Resolves quality issues arising from scope changes and implements and tracks corrective actions.Sets a vision for the team - Creates strategies that shape the future and inspire the team, resulting in sustainable value and performance?. Ensures all employees have goals aligned to the overall strategy.Builds a high performing team - People leadership, with an intense focus on acquiring, developing and retaining the best talent?; Respectful of others and understands and embraces the value of a diverse and inclusive team. Bachelor's degree with 8 years of professional experience OR Master's degree with 6 years of professional experience - OR - 12 years relevant experience in lieu of degree is acceptableMust have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearanceCertification or equivalent demonstratable experience and understanding of EIA-649 Configuration Management principlesExperience with Project Lifecycle Management toolsPreferred Qualifications :

We work a 9 / 80 schedule (9 hours per day Mon-Thurs, 8 hours every other Friday with the alternate Friday off)
