Role and ResponsibilitiesClinical DutiesComplete assessments / re-assessments as needed and in a timely mannerDevelop and implement speech and language goals, both short and long term goals, to meet the individualized needs of each childEvaluate client progress towards goals and adjust goals when needed, ongoing basisSubmit written documentation including evaluations, daily notes, monthly progress reports for clinic records and insurance information needsProduce documents / forms as needed for insuranceConduct direct therapy with child as recommendedBuild and maintain professional rapport with client and client's family in accordance to ethical standards of conductParticipate in quarterly team meetings with parentsTrain and consult with parents and other professionals (training,observations, etc.)Maintain appropriate contact with parents about clinical issuesRespond to parents in a timely mannerDevelop and oversee transition / discharge planProvide support to speech staff on a daily basisAssist in schedulingCheck and respond to emails on a daily basisConsult / train / prepare presentations for outside contacts including : human service agencies, public speaking engagements, as well as marketing and promotional eventsEstablish positive and effective relationships and referral sourcesQualifications and RequirementsIncludes all but is not limited to :Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited universityMust possess state license and ASHA's Certificate of Clinical CompetencePrior experience working with children with developmental disabilities preferredExhibit ability to produce clear and concise written and oral reportsDemonstrate ability to maintain patient and facility confidentialityHas met competency standards or designated procedures and client populationsSuccessful completion of a clear backgroundStrong referencesCertification in CPR and First Aid preferredReliable attendanceLift, carry transfer, push or pull up to 20 poundsWalk, bend, squat, reach, crawl, and kneelPreferred Skills
