As an Engineering Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting engineering projects that enhance production efficiency and product quality. This position offers hands-on experience in applying engineering principles to real-world manufacturing challenges, contributing to process improvements and innovation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and supply chain to understand operational needs and implement technical solutions. The internship is designed to develop your technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and understanding of manufacturing systems through active participation in ongoing projects. Ultimately, your contributions will help drive continuous improvement initiatives that support the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality products efficiently and sustainably.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field).
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Previous internship or project experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance in manufacturing.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Assist engineering teams in designing, testing, and implementing process improvements within the manufacturing environment.
  • Support data collection and analysis to identify inefficiencies and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to troubleshoot equipment and process issues.
  • Participate in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures and technical reports.
  • Contribute to safety and compliance initiatives by ensuring engineering activities adhere to company and regulatory standards.
  • Skills :

    The required skills such as analytical thinking and proficiency in data analysis tools are essential for evaluating manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement. Communication skills enable you to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and document technical findings clearly. Preferred skills like CAD proficiency allow you to contribute to design and modification of equipment or tooling, enhancing your impact on engineering projects. Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies supports your ability to participate in continuous improvement initiatives, driving efficiency and quality. Together, these skills empower you to actively engage in problem-solving and innovation within the manufacturing environment, preparing you for a successful engineering career.
