A dynamic Psychiatry Residency Program in Gainesville, Florida is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible psychiatrist to join its Core Faculty. This position blends clinical responsibilities with a strong academic focus, offering the opportunity to impact resident education, participate in curriculum development, and shape the future of psychiatric care through mentorship and leadership. Position Highlights :
- Core Faculty appointment with an affiliated medical school
- ACGME-accredited program with 32 psychiatry residents
- Department features include :
- 33-bed inpatient psychiatric unit
- Consultation liaison service
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
- Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) services
- Primary clinical focus on inpatient consults and IOP care
- Facility is a designated Baker Act Receiving Center , accepting both voluntary and direct admissions
- 24 / 7 resident coverage for consults, admissions, and emergency evaluations
- Call rotation is 1 : 5 , supervising 3 4 residents per shift
- Active involvement in didactic instruction, supervision, and scholarly activities
