This healthcare research organization specializes in conducting clinical trials from Phase I to Phase IV. Their focus areas include psychiatry, post-operative pain, dermatology, neurology, and more. Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary : Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
  • Shifts : 7AM or 7PM | 12h shifts
  • Benefits Package : Health, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) after 30 days of employment

Job Summary The Patient Care Technician I plays a vital role in supporting clinical research participants with psychiatric diagnoses who are enrolled in trials. This role focuses on patient advocacy, psychosocial support, discharge planning, and retention of participants, ensuring their needs are addressed throughout their inpatient stay.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess psychosocial and case management needs of participants
  • Assist with discharge planning, summaries, and follow-up coordination
  • Facilitate communication with treatment providers, family, and referral sources
  • Arrange transportation for appointments, interviews, or discharge
  • Support participants with practical needs (rent, bills, clothing, ADLs)
  • Organize and document family meetings and case manager visits
  • Assist with applications for healthcare coverage, social security, and other benefits
  • Develop relationships with community agencies to connect participants with resources
  • Run weekly inpatient groups focused on psychosocial needs
  • Maintain accurate records and databases for discharges and study terminations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

    • Minimum Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 1 year of psych experience
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries with patients and staff
  • Ability to multitask with attention to detail
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Crisis management and conflict resolution skills
