Academic Advisors' success will be measured by the extent to which we fulfill the RMP Graduate Guarantee that every RMP student will graduate high school with :
- Multiple acceptances to high quality colleges, universities, apprenticeship programs, and post-graduate programs that offer a high return on investment.
- A valuable credential or micro-credential that will give them immediate access to a good-paying job.

In this role, you will…
Academic Guidance & Program DevelopmentCoordinate transportation and progress monitor for academic success of PEAK+ students
Assist students in course selection to meet graduation requirements, personal goals, and maximize time spent in advanced courses.Provide information on advanced placement (AP) and honors courses.Monitor academic progress and intervene when students are at risk of failing.Partner with registrate to support Concurrent Enrollment placement, registration, and schedulingCollege and Career PlanningProvide individual, group, and family college counseling sessions for 11th and 12th graders to ensure 100% of students graduate with a post-secondary plan.
Identify students in need of additional support and connect them with appropriate resources (tutoring, mental health services).Facilitate quarterly informational meetings for parents regarding college admissions, financial aid, and scholarships.Guide students in exploring post-secondary options, including colleges, universities, and vocational programs.Organize college fairs, workshops, and campus visits.Assist with the college application process, including essay writing, resume building, and recommendation letters.Data Management and SchedulingMaintain accurate records of student progress, course selections, and post-secondary plans.
Analyze student data to identify trends and areas for improvement.Create student schedules aligned to graduation requirements and post-secondary plans.Prepare reports on student performance for school administration.Collaboration with Faculty and StaffWork closely with teachers to monitor student performance and development.
Collaborate with other school counselors and academic advisors to develop programs and initiatives.Participate in faculty meetings to discuss student needs and academic strategies.Professional DevelopmentStay current with trends in college admissions, career counseling, and educational policies.
Engage in continuous learning to enhance counseling techniques and knowledge of resources.Qualifications
Required :
Education Requirements : Be able to provide an official transcript demonstrating graduation from an undergraduate institutionBackground / Work Eligibility : Pass a background check & demonstrate eligibility to work in the United StatesPreferred :
5+ years of experience in post-secondary college accessCO teaching license OR Out-of-State teaching license with the ability to transfer licensure to COCompletion of CDE READ Act training and / or CDE Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) 45 contact hoursExperience working with linguistically and culturally diverse students and familiesThis is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with a salary range of $60,000 - $89,000
