About The Position

License : IN or compact RN license required

Certifications : BLS through AHA required

Must-Have : 1+ years of Medsurg experience required

Description :

Position involves general nursing duties in a medical unit.

Types of procedures include various patient care tasks.

Equipment utilized in the unit includes IV pumps, wound vacs, lifts, feeding pumps, SCD, NG tubes, suction devices, and Foley catheters.

Nursing staff will work a total of 36 hours per week.

Shifts are from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Three weekend shifts are expected per month.

Nursing staff will not float to other units.

Patient to nurse ratio for this unit is 5 : 1.

Dress code requires Caribbean blue scrubs.

Training will include a scavenger hunt and one day supervised on the unit after the initial orientation.

Mandatory attendance is required for all orientation days.
