A day in the life of a Director, Direct-to-Consumer Merchandising at The North Face looks a little like this.

The Director of Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Merchandising is a strategic leader responsible for driving the merchandising vision, strategy, and execution across all DTC channelsincluding owned retail stores and eCommerce. This role ensures that product assortments, pricing strategies, and inventory plans align with brand goals, consumer insights, and financial targets. The ideal candidate is a data-driven merchant with a deep understanding of consumer behavior, market trends, and omnichannel dynamics.

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute the DTC merchandising strategy to drive revenue, margin, and brand equity.
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Planning, Marketing, Product, Digital, Retail Operations) to align on seasonal strategies and go-to-market plans.
• Lead the creation of consumer-centric assortments tailored to channel-specific needs.

What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 10+ years of merchandising experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within DTC or omnichannel environments.

Hiring Range : $172,800.00 USD - $216,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
