Environmental Services Supervisor
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Environmental Services which may include general cleaning, floor maintenance and laundry functions.
Essential Functions
- Supervising Environmental Services employees. Interviewing, selecting and training new employees. Monitoring current employees and providing ongoing training, coaching and performance management.
- Participating in the development and implementation of department wide projects and programs. Responding to customer concerns / compliments.
- Controlling operating expenses. Adjusting staffing levels based on fluctuating workloads.
- Developing and maintaining employee performance standards to achieve desired quality results through daily rounding in areas of responsibility and performing required audits. Evaluating employee performance.
- Utilizing the Beaumont Standards and effective communication skills to incorporate specific age, cultural or developmental needs.
- Maintaining and / or improving employee engagement through rounding, recognition, team building and meeting.
- Participation in department and hospital committees.
- Developing programs / practices, which ensure correct / safe care and usage of chemical products and equipment.
- Evaluation of new and existing products and equipment.
