Overview
The Travel Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of corporate travel operations, ensuring cost-efficiency, policy compliance, and a seamless travel experience for employees and executives. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional with strong negotiation skills , knowledge of travel management systems , and the ability to manage vendor relationships. This is a remote role , but candidates within the company's service territory are preferred. Non-local candidates may be considered if highly qualified.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the company's relationship with the Travel Management Company (TMC) and ensure quality service delivery.
- Develop, implement, and maintain corporate travel policies and procedures
- Plan and coordinate travel arrangements, including flights, hotels, transportation, and related services
- Negotiate competitive rates and contracts with airlines, hotels, and rental car providers.
- Monitor and analyze travel expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure budget compliance.
- Ensure company-wide adherence to travel policy standards.
- Provide travel support and guidance to employees, addressing travel-related questions and concerns.
- Manage supplier relationships and resolve travel issues or emergencies quickly and effectively.
- Deliver excellent customer service to internal stakeholders and travel partners.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel technologies, booking platforms, and industry best practices.
Required Experience
Proven experience as a Travel Manager, Coordinator, or similar roleStrong understanding of corporate travel operations, policies, and best practicesExceptional negotiation, leadership, and communication skillsProficiency in travel booking systems and management platforms.Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and compliance.Preferred / Desired Qualifications
