Schedule 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled. Job Description The MedSurg unit is a 52-bed facility with all private rooms. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with a variety of medical needs. The unit primarily handles post-operative cases, including orthopedic and neurological surgeries, as well as general medical diagnoses. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care and support to patients on the MedSurg unit. Manage a patient load of 6-7 patients per shift. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Educate patients and families about diagnoses and health management plans. Document patient care and progress in the electronic medical record system (Allscripts - Sunrise). Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Active RN license in state of employment. BLS (AHA) certification required. NIHSS certification mandatory; ACLS certification is a plus.
