Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced, and reliable Shipping Specialist to join our Logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing all shipping activities to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products. This role involves inventory management, order fulfillment, compliance with shipping regulations, and maintaining communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient shipping operations within the plant.

Supervisor Responsibilities : This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications and Competencies Required :

Education : High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three years of related experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment : This job operates in a factory / industrial environment. This role routinely uses hand tools, computer, barcode scanner, weight scale, wrapper, and other moving and shipping equipment including forklifts, dollies, and pallet jacks. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to the risk of electric shock and hazardous equipment, loud noises from machinery as well as heat and humidity. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderately loud. Safety glasses and sturdy closed-toe shoes are required in plant. Hearing protection is recommended (required in certain areas).

Ph ysical Demands : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; bend, climb stairs, balance, and push or pull. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus and differentiate between colors.

Travel : This position does not typically require travel outside the local area or overnight.
