The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Global Logistics Sr. Analyst you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by :

  • Develop and oversee the implementation of programs designed to improve cycle time, reduce quality discrepancies, and optimize costs throughout 3M's global transportation network.
  • Focus on customers by identifying improved service programs and enhancing speed and reliability across inbound and outbound logistics flows.
  • Implement improvement programs aimed at optimizing the transportation networks within 3M across all modes of transport.
  • Execute analysis and modeling to recommend the most optimal logistics solutions.
  • Provide strategic insights on logistics capabilities and market realities to 3M's Business Supply Chain stakeholders.
  • Analyze historical data and the existing network to identify and implement more efficient and reliable transportation modes.
  • Analyze data to identify the root causes of complex supply chain problems.
  • Continuously improve the optimization process, strategy, and engagement model.
  • Work collaboratively across 3M supply chain entities to drive resiliency in 3M transportation models.
  • Assist 3M logistics leadership in driving strategic initiatives and critical KPIs that require 3rd Party Logistics Support.
  • Provide strong analytical and project management skills to drive complex and cross-functional opportunities.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Seven (7) years of Supply Chain or Logistics experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include :

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in a transportation function for a manufacturing company
  • Experience in Global and Air shipments
  • Experience leading complex and cross functional programs
  • Experience with SAP ERP Software
  • Ability to work on multiple cross functional projects with tight timelines
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Experience using databases
  • Knowledge on data analytics
  • Work location : This role has on-site working model, with the employee working at least four days a week in the office at 3M Center, located in Maplewood, MN.

    Travel : May include up to 15% domestic / international

    The expected compensation range for this position is $109,202 - $133,469, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and / or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
