OR Surgical Technologist Job Details

Location : Salida, Colorado (81201) – Colorado healthcare jobs

Contract Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 – End : 2 / 16 / 2026)

Healthcare Setting : Operating Room (OR)

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Shift : 06 : 30 – 17 : 00, four days per week (Tuesday–Friday), plus equitable call coverage including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Employment Type : Travel Surgical Technologist

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1520 - $1640

Qualifications – Surgical Technologist

Minimum 1 year of experience as an OR Surgical Technologist (orthopedic surgery experience required)

Current CPR certification (healthcare provider level)

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential

Ability to participate in call rotation, including holiday and weekend coverage

Key Responsibilities – OR Surgical Tech

Assist surgeons and perioperative nursing staff during surgical procedures

Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes

Demonstrate clinical competence in surgical technology, sterile processing, endoscopy, and materials management

Maintain strict sterile technique and immediately report any breaks in aseptic protocol

Prepare the operating room and ensure all surgical equipment and supplies are available prior to procedures

Safely operate electro-surgical, diagnostic, video, and specialty surgical equipment
