Overview

The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform has thousands of students looking for online IB Language A : Language and Literature tutors nationally. As a tutor on the Varsity Tutors Platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys — all from the comfort of your home.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students.
  • Accept on-demand tutoring requests when available.
  • Tutor remotely using the Live Learning Platform (no commuting).
  • Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
  • Leverage the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions, generate lessons, and increase engagement.
  • Invoice for tutoring sessions; Varsity Tutors handles payments and logistics.

Benefits and Pay

  • Base contract rates start at $18 / hour and may increase for specialized subjects; pay can reach up to $40 / hour with the same student over time.
  • Get paid up to twice per week.

    • What We Look For In a Tutor (Qualifications)

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Expertise in IB Language A : Language and Literature with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
  • Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
  • Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.
