General Conventional Machinist - $20 to $22 starting, Open to increase depending on experience

We are a well-established aerospace manufacturing job shop known for delivering high-precision parts with exceptional quality. Our team is growing, and we are looking for a skilled and experienced Conventional Machinist who takes pride in their craft and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.

Position Overview :

As a General Conventional Machinist , you will be responsible for setting up and operating manual machines such as mills, lathes, shears, and surface grinders . You must be confident in working with tight tolerances , aerospace-grade materials , and precision measurement tools . This position requires independence , strong shop math skills , and the ability to maintain productivity while upholding strict quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Set up and operate manual milling machines, lathes, shears, and grinders with minimal supervision

Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions

Machine parts to tight tolerances using materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, brass, and composites

Select appropriate cutting tools, machine speeds, and feeds

Perform various machining operations : drilling, boring, reaming, tapping, slotting, and profiling

Use precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.) to inspect and validate parts

Deburr, clean, and prepare parts for in-process or first article inspection

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machines

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

Communicate effectively in English , both written and verbal

Required Qualifications :

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with conventional machining in a job shop or aerospace environment

Strong knowledge of close tolerance machining and aerospace material requirements

Own full set of tools

Able to set up and run machines independently

Proficient in shop math and blueprint reading

Capable of following both written and verbal instructions accurately

Committed to quality , efficiency , and continuous learning
