The Opportunity : Managing Director, AI Ventures Fund

JBW is seeking a dynamic Managing Director to help launch and scale our dedicated AI Ventures Fund—taking the lead on investment strategy, portfolio management, and fund growth at the intersection of AI, low-code / no-code, and digital work disruption. This highly visible founding role involves full-spectrum fund leadership : strategy, fundraising, partnership, and hands-on portfolio development. Personal capital commitment is expected as a signal of deep engagement.

Who You Are

Connector : & Possess an extensive network among investors, founders, executives, and industry influencers—able to open doors and spark collaborations.

Experienced Investor : & Strong track record in venture capital, private equity, or investment management, adept at sourcing, structuring, and closing deals.

Startup Advocate : & Comfortable in high-velocity, early-stage environments and passionate about creating and supporting high-growth companies.

AI Future of Work Visionary : & Excited by the opportunity to invest in groundbreaking AI and platform-driven solutions.

Trust Builder : & Adept at uniting cross-functional stakeholders and building sustainable partnerships.

Active Participant : & Willing to co-invest personal funds (1%–5% of the fund) as a mark of leadership alignment.

What You’ll Do

Drive fund vision, sourcing, and execution—identifying category-defining startups in AI and enabling technologies.

Spearhead fundraising, LP management, and represent JBW at investor events and forums.

Develop and maintain partnerships across the startup and venture ecosystem.

Leverage ELITE’s AI-powered talent validation to inform investment decisions and accelerate value creation.

Take ownership of fund operations, reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Recruit and mentor new investment talent and advisors.

Demonstrate skin in the game through personal investment.

Ideal Experience

Experience in venture investing, private equity, or fund launches

Leadership in enterprise SaaS, developer / operator networks, or platform / community building
