Overview

Emerson has an exciting opportunity for new graduates on 2nd shift. Based in our Shakopee, Chanhassen, MN location, as a Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift you will be responsible for supervising a team of manufacturing employees to achieve work group objectives related to production goals, safety, quality, continuous improvement, schedule, cost, and training, while helping to create a positive working environment. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • Set team objectives related to Safety, Quality and Production and monitor progress and results.
  • Plan daily work assignments and rotation schedules for assigned employees to meet team objectives.
  • Participate in the hiring and selection process to fill open positions.
  • Maintain and support ongoing training programs and create new programs as needed.
  • Provide coaching and actionable feedback that is constructive and positive to aid in employee development.
  • Conduct timely, effective performance reviews in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Communicate and lead discussion regularly with employees on matters such as business conditions, goals, trends, accomplishments, pay plan updates, and information on benefits and policies.
  • Collaborate and foster open dialogue within your work unit and with peers.
  • Participate in or lead Continuous Improvement projects and activities.
