RN Registered Nurse – PCU Stepdown (Charge)

Full-Time | Nights (Rotating Weekends)

Salary :  $30.76 – $41.50 / hr. (based on experience)

Night Differential :  +$4.75 / hr.

Weekend Differential :  +$3.00 / hr.

National Certification Pay :  +$2.00 / hr.

Sign-On Bonus :

  • $10K for Days
  • $15K for Nights

Relocation :  Yes, Offered on a case-by-case basis

Job Summary :

We’re seeking an experienced  Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Charge RN  to join our team. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a high-acuity environment while also supporting and leading the nursing staff on your unit.

Unit Details :

  • 46-bed  Cardiac PCU  (3rd floor)
  • All patients on telemetry
  • Typical diagnoses : Afib, RVR, Pre / Post-Cath
  • Manage a variety of drips (not currently titrating / starting)
  • Patient Ratio : 4–5 : 1 (may be 5–6)

    • Responsibilities :

  • Provide clinical expertise and leadership as Charge RN.
  • Deliver compassionate, evidence-based care in collaboration with the care team.
  • Monitor patients, administer medications, and respond to changes in condition.
  • Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and treatment plans.
  • Support, guide, and mentor staff while ensuring safe, efficient operations.

    • Requirements

  • Current RN license in Florida (or compact with FL license within 60 days)
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
  • BLS certification (AHA) required
  • 1+ year acute care RN experience  required
  • 1+ year Charge RN experience  required
  • Critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills essential
  • PC skills required
