We are seeking an experienced Senior HVAC Technician with EPA Section 608 certification to join our team. This role requires expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial rooftop units (2-120 tons), chillers, and gas and oil heating systems . The ideal candidate has a strong background in complex HVAC systems and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities :
Installation & Replacement
- Install and replace 2-120 ton rooftop units, chillers, and heating systems in commercial buildings.
- Ensure proper placement of ductwork, wiring, and gas / oil connections for optimal system performance.
Preventative Maintenance & Inspections
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to optimize system performance and prevent failures.Perform detailed evaluations of refrigerant levels, electrical components, and combustion systems.Diagnostics, Repairs & Troubleshooting
Identify and repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration issues in complex HVAC systems.Work with gas and oil heating systems, troubleshooting burners, heat exchangers, and fuel delivery mechanisms.System Optimization & Upgrades
Recommend and implement efficiency upgrades to improve energy savings and performance.Assist in modernizing HVAC systems, including control panel programming and refrigerant conversions.Client Communication & Compliance
Interact with building managers to assess needs, explain system issues, and provide repair estimates.Ensure compliance with local building codes, EPA regulations, and safety protocols.Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed records of installations, service calls, maintenance schedules, and repairs performed.Required Qualifications :
EPA Section 608 Certification (Mandatory)Extensive experience with rooftop units (2-120 tons) and chillersStrong background in gas and oil heating system diagnostics and repairAbility to troubleshoot and repair electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical HVAC componentsProficiency with specialized HVAC tools, gauges, and diagnostic equipmentKnowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and refrigerant handling best practicesExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsPreferred Qualifications :
