Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
Leads the daily operations of the Digital Learning Innovations team and the online program management team. Ensures products and services meet the needs of the campus community and align with the mission of the unit. Designs and implements systems to collect data about the unit's success and opportunities. Employs data to inform planning, evaluation, and improvement of systems, services, products, and team members. These goals are achieved by completing or effectively delegating the following responsibilities.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Lead and supervise Digital Learning Innovations and Online Program Management teams, ensuring balanced workloads and efficient operation
2. Oversee project and ticketing systems to identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks.
3. Coordinate student support services for online learners in alignment with institutional strategic goals
4. Collect and analyze data to assess faculty and program needs and inform of development opportunities.
5. Ensure data-driven alignment of faculty-facing products and services with institutional priorities.
6. Manage the university's relationship with USG eCampus, including enrollments, payments, and support coordination
7. Maintain and enhance KSU Online Campus resources and services, collaborating with internal departments.
8. Supervise and expand the DLI Media Lab, making it accessible to faculty content authors
9. Support and monitor compliance with course review policies and institutional standards, staying abreast of applicable external rules, laws, or mandates.
10. Oversee D2L institutional templates to ensure accuracy and currency.
11. Lead faculty engagement with learning analytics tools coordinate with technical support.
12. Assist with procurement of institutional software in collaboration with leadership
13. Co-lead the Digital Learning Advisory Council with AVP and contribute to strategic planning
14. Produce annual reports on team performance, compliance, and accomplishments for senior leadership
15. Promote KSU Online Campus nationally through professional engagement with national bodies (UPCEA, OLC, ELI), research, and outreach.
16. Manage the unit's websites and social media accounts, if applicable.
17. Foster strong, collaborative relationships with academic and support units across campus while promoting a culture of open communication, transparency, and shared purpose. Support the team in advancing strategic priorities, including sustainable course design, accessibility, artificial intelligence integration, learning analytics, and community building.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education, preferably in a related field
Required Experience
Eight (8) years or related work experience with some supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Accessibility professional certifications (i.e., CPACC or WAS)
Quality Matters Applying the Rubric Certification (APPQMR), or equivalent i.e., OSCQR PMP, CPTD, CPT or other recognized professional accreditation related to the field of instructional design
Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Preferred Experience
Experience in the design and development of training for adult learners
Experience using innovative technologies and research-based techniques for technology-enhanced learning
Experience supervising and directing the work of others
Experience implementing adult learning principles, instructional design models, and best practices
Experience training faculty in the areas of academic web accessibility and technology enhanced instruction including the use of learning analytics
Experience testing technology enhanced learning environments for accessibility issues.
Previous work experience in higher education
Experience with technology enhanced teaching and learning knowledge systems, preferably with Desire2Learn Brightspace
Experience designing and developing online courses for higher education
Experience with graphic design and video production

Maintains a high degree of knowledge in existing and technology-enhanced new learning models and trends in digital education
Knowledge of and experience using a learning management system and other course management tools (D2L Brightspace, Canvas, Moodle, etc.)
Knowledge of learning theories, backward design, and constructive alignment
Knowledge of tools and techniques for technology-enhanced learning
Knowledge of and experience using common assistive and learning technologies (captioning tools)
Knowledge of and experience using digital media production and graphic design software and equipment (Camtasia, Audacity, Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate, etc.)
Awareness of universal design and other accessibility considerations in online environments
Knowledge of rubrics and processes for evaluating online course design and / or facilitation
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, technology, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management, and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone etiquette
